We have daily care for my Dad every morning, whilst primarily there to assist with showering and shaving, they are also now taking him for short walks and doing number and word puzzles with him. When time allows they are also doing tasks around the house like changing the bed and cleaning the kitchen sink and downstairs toilet. Cannot recommend the professionalism of the back office team and the empathy of the visiting care team enough. Thank you.
Crown have been providing LIC to my 94 yo father for the last four years since my mother passed away. Dad has dementia and was totally unable to look after himself, although he was quite active until recently, when he had a lengthy stay in hospital. They provided both short and long term stay LIC's, as well as relief companionship care, all who were thoughtfully chosen to suit Dad's personality and level of care. All proved knowledgeable and treated Dad with kindness and respect, he not only relied upon them but enjoyed their company. Lesley, Jodie and their terrific team have always been available for questions or issues that arose, which was enormously helpful to me, as I live in Australia. I'd highly recommend Crown to other families who are faced with the need for care, and to allow their parent(s) to stay in their own homes for as long as possible.
Couldn't have wished for a nicer company to deal with. We did interview various local carers for my mum and dad, some of which were very expensive and all whistles and bells but Crown Home Care came across more personal and we gave them a go. We were so pleased with the help that they offered my parents and they would always mention anything that they were concerned about with regards mum and dad. Unfortunately mum has dementia and has now moved into a home and we no longer need them anymore but we would highly recommend them. Thank you again to all the Managers and all of the carers that came to the house..thank you x
We have been very happy with the care that Crown Care provides. Communication has been very good and they are very conscientios and thorough. My mother is very happy and well cared for
Crown have been caring for my mother for the last two months. All the careers have been kind and considerate. My mother is an Alzheimer's sufferer and they have been excellent with both the good and the bad days. They visit once a day to get my mother up, washed , and dressed and she has grown to value their help and engagement. Thank you Crown.
As a family we have been working with Crown for over 3 years and they have provided excellent live in care and day care. The caring staff are thoughtful, kind and positive. The admin staff are helpful and responsive. Mum and dad have thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with their day carers and we have just moved to live in care full time now and the care provided throughout has made a difference to all of our lives. Thank you.
Crown have been providing care to our 93 year old relative who lives alone for 2 years. They have the most lovely and caring staff. They are able to adapt and change as needed. Mum has been shown so much sweet kindness and understanding. They have supported me in caring for Mum helping me to find solutions to problems. I am very impressed
After the death of his wife (my mother) in 2021, my 91-year-old father had been living at home and looking after himself for two years. He was (and remains) mentally very sharp and physically strong for his age. He was fiercely independent and opposed to any form of care or support. In late October 2023 he was admitted to hospital after collapsing at home. The hospital doctors immediately diagnosed the cause to be incorrectly managed Type 2 diabetes. He was very weak, unable to walk without assistance, unwilling to eat and becoming delirious. The hospital doctors’ view was that if he recovered, which was not certain, he would be unable to continue to care for himself alone. I contacted Crown Home Care on Monday the day after he was admitted to hospital. The very next day Crown’s Live-In Care Manager met me at my father’s house to conduct a recce of the property and to discuss his care needs in detail. By Wednesday Crown had prepared a full care plan and a list of candidate profiles, and by Thursday – just three days after my initial contact and with my father still in hospital – Barbara arrived in the role of Carer-Companion, two days before my father’s return home from hospital. By the time my father was discharged from hospital, Barbara had cleaned the house from top to bottom, checked the entire house and garden for hazards, weeded and hosed down the patio, re- stocked the kitchen, washed all the bedding, repaired two vacuum cleaners, introduced herself to the neighbours, and was ready for action. For the first couple of months, Crown’s management team either visited the house or called me at least twice a week to make sure things were going well (they invariably were). Ten months later they still check in regularly and nothing is left to chance. Their systems are outstanding: their at-home carers use an app to record a comprehensive daily account which covers medication, nutrition and any events of note, and both the client and close family members are invited to access this app. Records are always up-to-date and very comprehensive. Finally, a comment on why I contacted Crown in the first place. I live in Winchester, a couple of miles from where my father lives. I have the good fortune to have as neighbours a couple of very active nonagenarians together with several friends of my own age who have moved to Winchester to be close to their own elderly parents. As a result I had heard, from clients and children of clients, that Crown was an exceptional organisation, responsive, relentlessly diligent, and with a roster of outstanding carer-companions. My neighbours were not wrong. It is my opinion, and my brother’s, that Crown’s swift and expert engagement probably saved our father’s life last year. Crown has opened up for him a new chapter of exceptional quality of life. He is as happy, healthy and energetic as we can remember and he too is very grateful for everything that Crown has made happen.
The team at Crown Home are amazing. They all have time for Dad, they are on time, friendly, caring and he looks forward to their visits each day. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you for helping to make living alone easier for him and for us to know he is safe and well looked after.
Lovely staff and carers. Crown have provided a great deal of care and support to my parents. Often going above and beyond what is asked. So glad we found them
Client centered service, smiling professional personnal in the office, highest quality trained carers
Jodie, Tania & the team of carers have been of great help to my in-laws. From the start they have provided us with very clear guidance & advice. They are very thorough and understanding of all aspects of the care required. We heard about Crown Home Care through recommendations and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.
Crown homecare have now been coming on a daily basis for 11 months to a friend of mine , The staff are all friendly, caring & very efficient in their work, They all arrive on time & will do whatever tasks are asked of them.
Communication with office staff is great in fact the whole set up from this company is brilliant, they are easy to approach & will explain & help with any concerns you might have so I really don’t have to worry about her daily living needs now as I know she is being taken really good care of by crown which is allowing her to stay in her home.
So I can personally highly recommend crown homecare company
Our family have used Crown for 3 members of my family over many years, and experienced their support from initial 1 hour a day 'enabling' all the way through to live in 24 hour care, supplemented by a 2nd carer at times during the day.
The main reasons we continue, as a family, to use Crown are:
1. Their communications, both with the family and the person who needs care, is extremely good - and consistently good. They are reactive when asked but also proactive in commenting on potential concerns.
2. They clearly look after their staff as continuity of care from the carers involved is really important to the elderly. And the carers we see all enjoy working for Crown, which feeds into the excellent caring they provide the elderly.
3. They have been extremely flexible and responsive as caring needs for family members have changed - and their fees are reasonable!
Having had a bad set of experiences with another (large) care provider, before terminating their contract, Crown will continue to be my 'go to' care provider in the future.
Robert
We have used Crown Care for almost 2 years, starting with a few hours a week, through to daily care and now 24hr live in care, supporting our elderly Mother with dementia . Throughout, the office team and the carers have been brilliant at communicating, quick to respond when needed and above all caring and supportive of both our Mother and our family , tailoring and building a care plan as our Mother’s needs have changed.
Thankyou , it’s hard to imagine how we would have managed without you !
I train Crown home care carers in dementia. I am an independent trainer.
I always find the staff extremely helpful. The carers are of a high standard. They are willing to learn and bring to the training much of their previous experience.
I would be happy to place my loved one in their care.
I just wish to say that I am very happy with the carer provided to me. My only disappointment is to have been charged for days when no carer had to attend due to my sudden admission to hospital.
I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Crown - we needed to put in place 24-hour care at home care for my mother who has dementia at short notice, following the death of my father. The care staff have been brilliant, resulting in a real uplift in my mother's quality of life and the management and support staff are great at communicating with clients.
In general the care has been good. The carers are polite and caring. We are pleased that we generally have the same carers, as this helps with my husband's confusion, and the office have been helpful with our needs.
Crown Care consistently provide the best care for my mother who has dementia. Communication with the office is excellent, the carers go over and above to ensure Mum is comfortable, happy and healthy. I feel confident that she is getting the best care.
My aunt has been supported by Crown Home Care for some time now and I am extremely grateful for all they have done. Her main carer has been brilliant and my aunt enjoys her company. Her notes are always helpful and I know she is in good hands. The agency staff are great at flagging any issues and have been very helpful when we have requested any changes in my aunt's schedule, including finding a live-in carer for a couple of weeks when it was necessary. Crown Home Care has made it possible for my aunt, who is in her 90s, to stay in her own home and that has been a real bonus.
My mother has been receiving care from Crown Home Care for some time now and we are all delighted with the care and dedication each member of staff shows her. Her two main carers are delightful, kind, caring and compassionate. They have taken the time to really get to know our mother and genuinely care about her day-to-day wellbeing. The administration team at the office are proactive and keeps me up to date with any changes in my mother’s condition. They are efficient and organised. Nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend Crown Home Care to anyone having to make the difficult decision to accept they need a little extra help to keep them safe and secure in their own home.
Crown Home Care has provided exceptional care for our Mum since she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a year ago. She remains fiercely independent but is now able to still live her life with dignity as she wants to at home. The carers have not only guided and supported her sensitively with as much or as little help required as her life changes, but they have also taken time to get to know and understand her as a person too.
The friendly office team provide flexible on-the-spot support and their excellent communication together with the care planning app provides us with daily reassurance and peace of mind. Having thought previously that the only option to care for Mum would be a residential care home, happily Crown Home Care has proved otherwise.
It has taken my dad's in-home carer companion just six weeks to transform my fiercely independent and care-resistant 92-year-old widowed dad, who'd left the hospital in a wheelchair following a fall, into a beamingly happy, well-fed, properly medicated, walking, cycling, wood-chopping croquet-playing chap again, able to enjoy his own home to the full. The impact of the carer-companion from Crown has been astounding. Aside from a truly bewildering range of practical skills - great cook, clinically trained, great driver, able to strip down vacuum cleaners and lawnmowers, even willing to be taught croquet, she is energetic and empathic to a quite extraordinary degree. She has been a joy. As for the administrative side of Crown Home Care, it also is exceptional - they move fast, they have immaculate processes, and it's clear to all our family that they really, really care. Outstanding on every count.
Excellent care for my terminally ill wife from day one. Very friendly and competent carers, as are the office staff. Smart uniforms and always very punctual. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. In my opinion, the Rolls-Royce of home care providers. Highly recommended.
Crown Home Care are providing a responsive, professional and caring service for my mum. All staff and carers have been understanding and empathetic to Mum's needs. This has been so reassuring and Mum looks forward to seeing those that are caring for her. This has enabled me to have time out knowing Mum is well cared for. Thank you.
Excellent staff and support for my mother. Timely, friendly, consistent staff, adaptable and feel like I can approach the office with any support or requests we may want. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
Crown Home Care has been providing a carer to help with my father in the mornings. We feel very lucky to have had Crown come in and help us out. In all my communications with Crown, they have been very professional, reliable and caring in their approach. My parents are very happy with the care being provided and really appreciate the consistency in the people that provide the care. We had heard good things about Crown before and I can honestly say all the good reviews are fully justifiable.
A local, friendly, family-run company which makes you feel part of the family. The best care my dear mother ever received. All staff were amazing, and the management was supportive and easily contactable.
I implicitly trust the Crown Home Care’s team with my elderly mother's care. The individual carers and management have got to know my mum so that they can provide the best care and companionship for her. They show her respect and are kind and professional. Additionally, they have given me advice and support when needed, helping by speaking to occupational therapist assessors directly to ensure the best assistance is also provided by the NHS. Mum has also readily accepted the team and looks forward to their visits.
We have used the services of Crown Home Care for almost a year now, firstly for 24-hour live-in care for my dad until he died in March. The carers who came to look after him and my mum were wonderful - very professional, caring, patient and kind and the team at Crown were so helpful and supportive to us all and pulled out all the stops to help get my dad out of hospital and back home for his last few days. We now have a domestic carer from Crown who visits my elderly mum for a few hours a week and we are very happy with this arrangement. The lady who comes to help her is kind and patient and very willing to help Mum with her meals, light domestic work and a bit of food shopping. I am confident that if we need to increase Mum's care Crown would be able to provide this for us. I have regularly recommended Crown to other people.
A member of staff from Crown Home Care came to live in with me for two weeks last autumn to help me recover from an infection. The Crown managed to place the staff member with me as an emergency within three days despite the pandemic. The moment she arrived, I felt completely confident with her care and her positive attitude was an important factor in my regaining my independence. She was an absolute delight to have in the house and we had a very good relationship. She understood and supervised my medication and ensured I had sufficient fluids, measuring my intake every day. Her personal care when I was confined to bed was professional and excellent. She encouraged me to mobilise and at the end of two weeks I was walking with a stick and she left me with a whole list of exercises to do. She put a great deal of emphasis on nutrition and cooked me delicious meals but encouraged me to increasingly do more for myself. Altogether I was delighted with her visit.
Professional and Compassionate Care. Crown Home Care provided two excellent live-in carers to look after my mother over a period of twelve months until she passed away last month (Feb. '21). She had become frail and suffered from advanced Alzheimer's but the carers treated her, at all times, with the utmost respect and kindness. They were professional and dedicated, ensuring my mother was comfortable and happy until the end.
We have only been using Crown Homecare for the past 2 weeks after my frail father moved in with us but we are more than happy with the care and support they have provided. The carers treat dad with dignity, are respectful of our home and we feel we are getting the best care that we can for him. Their attention to detail in the care plan means that little things that mean a lot to him get done. We have adjusted things over the fortnight as we have worked through getting a routine established with the care staff. We have a regular team of carers who Dad and I have got to know and feel confident in what they provide. The manager and office staff have also been extremely supportive to me, as a new carer and in working through the care plan for Dad's needs.
A very professional, flexible and friendly company. Staff easy to work with, great communications with rapid response to requests. Could not have wished for a better service to look after my Mum. Many thanks.
The considerate and very careful attention of all lady carers was exemplary, always seeking to provide the best and safest comfort for my disabled wife. Very nice personalities, all of them. My wife and I were so fortunate to have this provider assigned to her terminal care, shortened unexpectedly by an early death. Moreover, the supervisory management of care was exemplary in ensuring that nothing that should have been done was left undone.
The management and caregiving team at Crown are superb. Professional, expert, patient, kind and flexible. The care, support and companionship they are providing for my mother is excellent. They assessed the need, made recommendations and have adapted the care for mum as needed. The regular updates they provide for me are also a comfort. Knowing they are ‘on the ball’ means a great deal.
